He says he still loves me but he just wants to make sure i'm the one for him, because we are so young. It bugs me so bad to think of him with another girl, but he tells me i should date other guys too.. just for awhile. He got sent away to drug rehab for like 6 months and comes home in 20 days, so i dont get why he is doing this now. He said he eventually might want to get back together. How should i act? What are some reasons he could be doing this?

I went on a date with another guy while he was in rehab, and he freaked out and made a big deal about it.. and i guess it hurt him.. so this is when he started to have 2nd thoughts about our love. He told me before that he knew he loved me from the first second he looked at me and i was the one he was going to marry..
So why is he doing this?

This usually is a sign that things are over. Move on, you can do much better than that. Don't beat you self up about the could ofs would ofs and should ofs.

Hurt is a very natural response if you care for the guy. This could be the prelude to the end or your relationship. You have no choice but to let him go. We all must do with we think is best for us in the end.
We make choices based on where we are at any given space and time. You boy friend is evaluating his life so needs time to figure things out. Leaving our current relationship is sometimes part of that process.
Respect his changes and just let him go. Go on with your life and see where the changes take the both of you.

Yes you should be hurt. Not only hurt, but angry as hell. If he wants to have new people, dont take him back, when you love someone truly, you dont need a break. He is obviously wanting someone else and needs a get away. Tell him that all is well and you need some time yourself, see how he likes that tables turning, if fact, you should find someone new and be happy. Happiness is the best revenge. Dump him real quick. He is doing this because he has already had a relationship with someone else and wants to let you down in a way other than saying he cheated on you. You are obviously not the only person on his mind or he would not be doing this. No guy who really loves a girl will EVER want her to be with another man. Period.

He is feeling unsure of his feelings for u since he has had some time to think bout ur relationship. i think u should and shouldn't feel hurt cuz he gave u a sense of what a serious relationship with someone is like. but u should also feel hurt cuz he may have broken ur heart but u will survive. as for the getting back together part i think that should be left a mystery cuz a lot can happen.

You should move on immediately. He has told you that he don't want to be with you right now. Waiting for him would be a total waste of your time. There is too many men out there to be concentrating on this 'bad seed.' You have already wasted two years out of your life dealing with him and his issues. MOVE ON.

You should not date someone getting out of rehab, cuz their brains are scrambled once they get sober. it takes them time to become normal.
