My boyfriend and I want to remain together. I am leaving for the Air Force soon. Can me and him pay out our pockets for him to move to the city I will be stationed in? If not, what can we do to remain close to each other?

Why can't he pay for his own place? I would think that if he loves you, just as much as you do him, then he would be a man and step up to the plate by providing for himself. The answer to your question is yes. Once you have finished your training, and are stationed at your home duty station, you yourself can move off post. I just think that he would make plans to get a job set up where you will be, and get a place for the two of you. Alot of landlords do have a military clause in the lease, but you more than likely will have to show a copy of your oders stating that you are being transferred in order to break the lease. Good luck to you.

Of course you can ... if you're leaving the service soon, then you won't have to live in government housing (which is what I'm assuming you've been doing). You can live where you want to and I suggest staying close to each other. I do, however, know of coupoles who commute to work (more than 3 states away) and only see each other on the weekend. They got married and nothing changed so it can go either way. Good luck!!

I have family members in both the Air Force and Army. And you definately can pay for your boyfriend to live off base on your own. If the two of you later decide to get married, you can apply for family housing to live on base after your ceremony.

reckoning on his rank he would ought to stay interior the barracks, so which you would be able to desire to no longer stay with him. If he's severe sufficient rank to be allowed housing i think that's attainable yet you will ought to foot all your charges. Girlfriends are no longer something to the army so which you will get no advantages whatsoever. you does not get scientific, or an identity ( so which you would be able to no longer purchase something on base and getting on and rancid base may be complicated) and you will ought to pay to fly the place he's and pass all your stuff. in case you 2 have a robust sufficient relationship which you would be keen to try this you're greater powerful off getting married.
