Note: These are my opinions please do not take them personally.

This wolrd is based on the principle of duality.
It is not possible that only one thing can exist. Means you cannot say that I want coins only with Heads. When you chose a coin, you will have Heads and Tails both.
So it is not possible that only peace, happiness, good will exist. Cruelty, sorrow, poverty will always be there.
Day cannot be recognised without night and same way happiness cannot be recognised without sorrow.
They come hand in hand.
Nature has to maintain the balance and it does that without any mistake.
You chose one and other comes by defualt.
You said currently people are behind war, jeausous, money, etc.
This is same throughout the past. This war, jeausous, money were always there and always will be.
The point is you have to pull yourself out of this.
Yes you are right rama, krishna, jesus, etc. were all great persons, who freed themselves and dissolved in almighty.
They asked us to follow them, but the mistake we made is we made them GOD and started workshiping them. We forgot that they were just like guides who wanted to show us the path to almighty.
Take this example:
You are on a trip. Theres a guide who is going to take you all people to the top of mountain and show the beauty hidden there. The guide has been there and he knows its very beautifull there. He asks us to follow him. But as we start climbing we see few good things from a little hight and we start thinking that the guide is the almighty. We sit there and start praying the guide. The guide is pleading us to follow him. But we have closed our eyes, ears and just praying him and thanking him for what he has brought to us. And finally we never go to top where the actual beauty is hidden untill we open our eyes, ears (our senses).

So follow this.
1. Dont accept things blindly. But start accepting negative things that happens to you. Don't say why this happened to me.
2. Study the nature. Nature will guide you through all hurdles. Compare things that happen to us with any similar process in Nature. God is nobody but Nature itself.
3. Start meditation.
Good luck.

For instance, if Ramayana was written by a writer than it represents writer's heart & thoughts (Rama's?), but how about the places attached with the story? People of writer's time must have checked & verified. You can't fool people of any time. Like wise in all the cases you have mentioned. And the most important thing is, to bring up standard and quality of the people of all time. You can't achieve this by mere saying " settle with the happiness, peace and love " and done?. Genius ancestors bless you.

Spirituality catches people at various stages of their life. Some get it young some when they are past of good and bad.
Among them the guiding stars appear few, when they have the imagination and communication skills. They teach and show the way to the rest of the mass and it is happening since a long time.
Saints,Preachers,Yoga therapists,Positive thinkers and in various forms they occupy and the human life requires their services irrespective of how far anyone reaches higher levels in their career.
Transformation links with our ancestors are still there intact and we search and get wisdom from their thoughts.
All these things do not concern about from which religion we derive these knowledge. In the vast world we have so many men of respect in history!!!

Guess doesn't count, yours or mine. There are evidence that prove most of the Pauranic stories. For example, the sunken cities of Dwarka and Mahabaleshwar. The satellite images of Ramayana Setu and inflowing river Saraswati. The hundreds of scriptures in hundreds of languages from India to Cambodia describing the virtues of Lord Rama. Millions of people who passed this ancient treasure cannot be wrong just because we did not work hard to investigate the truth.

Whether they happend or not is not important, what they taught you is important. I am a Hindu so I can say what Hinduism says, it says "Service to mankind is the service to Almighty" I am sure pretty much all the religions teach the same.." treat others as you treat yourself". I don't understand from where the extremist ideas like "only my religion is the best" or "killing others or converting others is service to their religion" I don't think any God would be happy with those who make others unhappy. Take good wherever you find, live a happy life and extend happiness as and how you can.

In the vedas and puranas we find pancha bhoothas such as land, water, fire, air, akash are the creations of God. Out of the five, the land also a creation of God. The land gives us food in the form of grains. so, in gratitude of Him, we are doing offerings say Nyvedya and this is only a thanks in the form of gratitude. we have many examples to this.Sri Pandarinatha accepted the food offered by Namadeva. The God Ganesa took food in person the food offered by Tirunaraiyur Nambiandan Nambi. Indians make an offering of food to the Lord and later partake of it as Prasaada - a holy gift from the Lord. In our daily ritualistic worship (pooja) too we offer Naivedyam (food) to the Lord. The Lord is omnipotent and omniscient. Man is a part, while the Lord is the totality. All that we do is by His strength and knowledge alone. Hence what we receive in life as a result of our actions is really His alone. We acknowledge this through the act of offering food to Him. This is exemplified by the Hindi words "Tera Tujko Arpan"- I offer what is Yours to You. Thereafter it is akin to His gift to us, graced by His divine touch. Knowing this, our entire attitude to food and the act of eating changes. The food offered will naturally be pure and the best. We share what we get with others before consuming it. We do not demand, complain or criticise the quality of the food we get.

I'm sorry but not everyone you mention is great. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus. You can believe otherwise if you feel the need, but I don't and I'm happy and peaceful with that.

May God Bless you.

Yes I agree, it is all about inner transformation. Once the inner is truly understood the outer will change also.
