well..I heard that when a new motherboard is purchased, there will be problems, like the sata headers won't function, lan card not working etc... so where do i download the lastest bios and how do i install it?

You DON'T want to do this unless you experience one of the problems described at the MB manufacturers site. This isn't like upgrading your software.
Make sure you know what version your BIOS is. Make sure the BIOS update will fix the problem you have. If so you download it and there will be instructions on how to make a bootable floppy to jack this file into your BIOS right on their site.

This is a VERY RISKY PROCEDURE.
If there are any mistakes or a power failure while the BIOS is being updated, the BIOS is TOAST!!!! and you can spend some serious $$$ to have it flashed.
Be sure to have your computer on a UPS when doing this.
It's best to go to the MOBO's manufacturers website to obtain the upgrade.
As mentioned, be sure the upgrade is needed.
