He/she/it didn't.

The Bible only refers to some twinkly lights up in the sky that must be embedded in some kind of 'firmament' or they would fall to the ground.

Planets are never mentioned, nor are comets or anything other than the Sun, Moon and some of the stars, all of which are visible to the naked eye. The authors of the various books of the Bible were not educated enough even to differentiate between stars and planets.

You are interjecting modern, learned notions of the cosmos into a simple minded ancient fable, which attempts to describe the origin of a flat piece of land in the desert, approximately the size of Rhode Island..

O.k. I'll walk through it, been working on this one for a While.
1. Planet Heaven.
2. GOD Created Earth after (similar to) Planet Heaven. Nothing else, but Two Planets, hanging in nothingness.
3. Satan Sins and GOD Kicks him ouffa' Planet Heaven--no where to go but Earth.
4. Earth gets messed up from satan's presence.
5. GOD Straightens out (don't Really know what was on Earth when Satan came down, People, Animals, Trees ?) the Mess and Starts Over--Let there be Light.
6. GOD Creates the Planets, Sun, Moon, Stars etc.
7. Something Happens again, and there is Debri in the Universe (Collisions of Planets, Stars etc?).

If I had to put my Finger on it, I'd blame satan.
GOD does not Create anything messed up.
Something goes wrong (freewill?) and messes Things up.
Yep, blame satan---UNLESS there was a Civilization on the Earth befor--Let there be Light--and they Advanced so far that THEY coulda' messed up Stuff.
One Day we will know---The Rest of the Story.
Planet Earth, a Very Interesting and Exciting Place to Live.
Ditto..................

They help us learn a lot about the universe, etc. They add variety. I think we stand to gain more from them than to loose. I don't know anyone who's been hurt by any of the above, but there has been a lot of discussion and learning going on (especially with the black holes!).
Worlds, like people, are born, go through stages of life, and die. I think it's all part of the plan.

Why do you need a god to create such things? They can happily exist with no gods at all. If there is a god, perhaps he made them to pass the time in between spying on the sex lives of six billion people on this planet.

There are alot of things that are in the creation that have been corrupted by the curse. All those things may have been created by God but the fact that they may cause devastation would be in the realm of satan, weather you believe it or not.

God didnt create them, they are still being created!! Those things are other stuff in the making. When you look at outer space, ur looking at the process of creation, not the product, ur seeing God's work happening before your eyes.
Cool!!

Well a lot of things have the potential to cause devastation - humans included. So I say he created them to awe us and inspire us to think beyond our little planet..

Because everything must balance. If there were none of these destructive things there could be no continued creation. There is afterall only so much matter to go around.

Because they are marvelous to watch. Except black holes of course you cant watch a black hole. I'm not even sure Christians have accepted black holes or not.

Where is the empirical proof that those phenomena were created by deities. We do not know how they have come into existence because we do not yet have the technology.
