I'm using Abreva to get rid of it and it doesn't seem to be working. ALSO----How do I cover it until it goes away without making it worse or more visible?

you know you need to use abreva 5 times a day right? and your supposed to start using it when you feel it comming up, if its already opened and scabbed up theres not a whole lot you can do about it, let it run its course but still use the abreva 5 times a day it'll help

Try Zovirax. As soon as the tingling starts on your lip (before the actual sore appears) put a little Zovirax on it. It really is the best product you can buy for cold sores.

Get a scrip for Zovirax from your doctor. It works FAST.

Just put regular petroleum jelly on it -- a light coat -- while it goes away. It'll keep it naturally coated & not too moist.
