It's the threat of hell that keeps churches in business. I refuse to play their stupid game.

Ah, yes. Everyday on the news we see just how accepting and tolorant those friendly-neighborhood Muslims are. How is coming to a conclusion equate with being brainwashed. Should no one come to any conclusions about anything at all so we can avoid being labeled? Also I'm sure most people, east and west, would take exception to the absurdity that eastern people are somehow incapable of coming to any conclusions. Isn't your statement itself a conclusion? But to answer your question, God is no meaner for enforcing the law than you would be mean for laying down rules for your own children and then punishing them for disobedience. And if it makes no difference to you what religion I am then why do you label my God mean? What's the difference? Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the father except by me." He said this to tell you that there is only one way so you will not be deceived and led astray. He then went to the place of execution in our stead so we wouldn't have to. That's not mean, that's LOVE!

I'm an atheist, but I'll try to explain why the Christians think as they do about the "justice" of God's decree that you must either be Christian or get tossed into Hell.
Why does mass have a gravitational attraction? It does. But why? Yes, yes, I said that I KNOW it DOES. I asked you WHY. Don't just repeat that it "just does." I already KNEW THAT. Why!? WHHHHYYYY!!!?
That's how Christians are with the question "Why will God put non-Christian souls in Hell." It's simply what they believe is the metaphysical reality. It just IS. And since God IS perfectly fair and just BY DEFINITION, then he can't possibly do anything unfair, and so the fact that non-believers end up in Hell is one of those "of course, of course" things that they just never will have an explanation for which will satisfy you.

First let me say that I am a Christian, I was born in this country, lived in this country and believe that this country was founded on Christian
Godly principles. The God I know which you obviously do not, does not force anybody to go to hell. That is your decision and your decision alone. The God I know created you, me and this world and yet people like you blame the loving God I know if somebody passes gas the wrong way. I apologize for being a little on the snippy side but God gave you the ability to choose and if you choose something other than what he has to offer than you are sending yourself to hell. You see you say God is sending you to hell - what about satan or don't you believe he exists? He has you fooled into believing that God is at fault when it was he that convinced woman and man to commit the first sin, which is why we have the problems and troubles we have today.
I won't say bad things about your belief, and I could and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't say bad things about a God you know nothing about Get the Bible out, read it before you go spouting off about a religion that means good for all
How many children have you allowed of yours to be tortured and crucified for the sake of a world that denies that he either doesn't exist or blames him for every stinking thing that's happened.
How about let's blame satan for something, or better yet blame yourself.
The people that founded this country (USA) prayed to the Christian God of the Holy Bible, they did not pray to buddah, islam, to mohammad (sp) or any other so called "god". They didn't turn to the east to pray, so don't say things about my God, my country or my Jesus. Experience first, then just maybe you might have a right to say something.
Yep, you are correct in stating that anyone who does not believe in Christ WILL go to hell, do not pass go but directly toooooo.
You are full of sin just as the rest of us, there is no one in this world good like they would think. Christ died a horrible, horrible death for those sins God has every right to make the rules.
Oh, and if I had it my way, I'm not so sure I would allow the freedom of ALL religions in this country, or people from other nations to live and put down what this country was founded on and has stood for just to come in and try to destroy (911)
This country is going to the absolute dogs, people who were not born here, are starting to have the same rights as we who have fought and those who have died to keep this country free and keep us safe.
Now you know what you can do with your question and comment - am I clear?

You know it is really funny that the bible Christians love has this God saying he does have a choosen people but those people are the JEWS! NO WHERE in the bible does this God or Jesus say you must be a Christian!
In fact it is written in Matthew 1:21 for he shall save his people from their sins. JESUS WAS A JEW! He was here for the JEWS!
However when you toss into this crazy mix the all knowing God aspect it makes everything totaly crazy! Because this means this God knew before any of us stepped foot on this earth who would be in the saved click and who would not! The idea that this was to test us is really stupid since an all knwing God would know the outcome of any test before we take it! Which means the test itself is completely pointless!
Face it God is FANTASY!

"If" is an awfully big word, and it is extremely hard to use it correctly. However, I am perfectly content to worship God. By the way, he doesn't send people who refuse to believe in him to hell -- you must have been talking to too many Bible Fundamentalist Christians lately. We are punished for our sins, not for our beliefs. If we want to get the best rewards, there are requirements; but it is possible to escape hell without being a Christian. Why, just ask the Jews and the Muslims. Hell is nothing more or less than a second chance to be purified of the sins that we are too proud or stubborn to repent of on our own. After we have "paid the uttermost farthing" for our offenses (Jesus), we are redeemed in a "time of refreshing" (Peter), and await the resurrection in Paradise from that time on. Death and hell must give up their captives for the resurrection to occur; death and hell alike are cast into the lake of fire (which is an archetype of destruction) -- they are destroyed. Granted, extremely few Christians follow the Bible closely enough to believe these things, but that is what Jesus and his apostles taught.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 4:2
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
1 John 4:3
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
1 John 4:15
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
Jesus is the Son of God, He died on a cross for the forgiveness of sins and, on the 3rd day He rose again from the dead. He now sits in heaven at he right hand of His Father. Religion is not how one is saved from eternal damnation in hell. Trusting Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior is the only way to salvation.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
He has shared His truth with us in His bible. For our part we have to choose who or what we believe. Do you believe Christ Jesus or do you not believe Jesus? This is Love, that a man would lay down his life for a friend. Jesus gave His life for us. If one ends up in hell, it will have been their decision. It will not be, is not Gods desire that anyone perish but that all would be saved.

God is a very loving God, but He is also a very Holy God. He does not "send' us to hell, we send ourselves there. We are offered the gift of everlasting life, and God does not ask too much from us. He forgives us for our sins if we come to Him. By the way, if you read your Bible and understood scripture you will notice that hell was not prepared for man, but for satan and his fallen angels. Jesus died on the cross so that we don't have to go to hell. He paid the price for our sins. You are a sinner just like the rest of the world. You too can go to God for repentance and also have everlasting life. What, do you think you are going to hell? Why? Don't blame Christians for God being a fair. He does give you a choice.

A large number of Christians believe in Universalism, or that all people will be saved. An even larger number of Christians believe that Christianity is the best, but not the only, way to escape hell. An even larger number than that believe that hell is only for those who are so wicked that they are beyond help (i.e. mass murderers, serial killers, etc.).

yeah this never made sense to me. If you would have been born in China you'd be a Buddhist, thus go to hell. I wish Christians saw the subjectivity of it all. You believe what you believe because you were taught to believe these things. God is merely a superstition, a figment of the imagination of the mass who follow the lies.

My God in fact the ONLY True God, is One who supplies ALL My needs not some but ALL...Hes a very loving God to those who are in a personal relationship with Him....however he is Judge and jury when it comes to Sin...because NO sin can enter the kingdom as it does not fit God character.. you might understand it better if you think of being allergic to like cat hair or something that you wouldnt have no way no how in your house...so God is allergic as well to unholiness in any form...
