There is now set distance that a 7th grader should be jumping, it really depends on the person. I've had girls that jumped in the 14ft range all the way through highschool, so if they where jumping 13ft in middle school that would have been great for them. But I've also had girls that jumped in the 17-18ft range, and they where jumping closer to 15+ in middle school. The truth is that some people are more athleticly gifted when it comes to jumping then other people. If you really enjoy the event what does it matter what you are jumping, as long as your having fun.

I did track in middle school and when a 7th grade girl jumped 13 feet it was very impressive. So if you are in that range you are pretty good.

i was in the 7th grade last year. i did the long jump and i got 12 feet 2 inches.

There was a girl in my section who competed at the high school track level and went over 18' as a middle schooler, but that was pretty out of control. I started in 9th grade and went about 16' the first year.
