now that religious followers r at least semi-literate, why do we need a priest, a rabbi, or an imam? of what concern should it be of these 3 representatives on how i or n e 1 else communicates with god? why do religious leaders of WHATEVER PERSUASION need to sway religious fanatics to kill those who differ on HOW to PRAY to god? would it be crass of me to suggest that monetary contributions and the giddying effect of POWER OF INFLUENCE over the ignorant masses that they lord over, in the name of GOD, is their driving force? does a rabbi an imam or a priest have a better pipeline to GOD then u or i or n e other believer for that matter? the worms r writhing in the can, what sayeth ye all?

Ummm, cause they arent worshiping the same God, well at least not the Christians and Muslims or the Jews and Muslims. The fact is that Jews believe that the Messiah has yet to come and thus believe that Christians are worshiping a false mesiah, this would lead to a bit of tension. The muslims believe that there is now messiah and that God revealed himself through the prophets and Jesus was a prophet thus undermining the Christians and the Jews because the muslims dont believe that God will send a Messiah.

Muslims have historically spread Islam by the edge of the sword, and now do so by the barrel of a gun and by the car bomb. The rest of the world is forced to take action as a measure of self-defence. This is not the first time America has had to deal with this threat. I'm sure you've heard the Marine Hymn "From the halls of Montazuma to the shores of Tripoli..." Tripoli is on the Medetaranian shore of north Africa, present day Lybia. Early in our nations history, Muslim pirates raided american ships, stoled cargo, murdered some of the crew and kidnapped the rest, holding them for ransom. America was forced to deploy Marines on Navy ships to put a stop to this. America's first foreign war was in response to Muslim agression.
Also, anyone who thinks that all people who believe in God are ignorant are, in fact, themselves ignorant. Ignorance is not exclusive to people of faith. Most people who don't believe in God are ignorant. Ignorant of science, logic, reasoning, and history.
