I am always on a budget I look for coupons and sales. I have to make a list and I stick to it. I also buy things I can make two or more meals out it. I Have three kids and a Big kid (husband). I buy a snack per person so we can enjoy it through the week. I never take the family along cuz I will walk out with a bill for $250 when I have a Budget of $100 for two weeks!

I make a menu for the week. Then I make a list of the things that I need. When I go to the store I buy what's on my list. If something is on sale I will buy 2 or 3 times the amount if I know I will use it. I usually buy a little more than my list. I don't usually don't use coupons.

I start at the front of the store which is usually the produce section. I get Broccoli, Cauliflower, Limes, Apples, Celery, Fresh Green Beans, Lettuce, Asparagus. Then I walk up Isle number one and go oh soo slowly up and down and get needed items until I can go into isle 2 and so forth. By the time I am done, which is usually in the back of the store where the Milk, meat and frozen food is, I walk towards the front of the store so that these items will not spoil before returning home.
I sometimes make a list, however, if we are in need of everything in the pantry and fridge, I just go to the store empty handed and figure it out when I get there.

I do not have a walking pattern
Do not use coupons and do not ck the circulars
I make a list as I run out at home but I do not follow it as much as just to be sure I get those particular items
I am not loyal to any one store but just fit where I am to the shopping.
I like to try new products that catch my eye if they are quick and easy -I do not spend a lot of time on cooking because there are so many other things I would rather do.
Good luck on your survey.

I make a menu for the month. Then I divide the menu into two (I buy every two weeks). Then I make a list of what I need to make those meals, then I cross off anything I already have at the house, then I check the coupons and see how many I have, when I shop I go down every aisle and only buy what is on my list. I spend about $300 every two weeks and about $30 on the off week for 7 people.

I go with a list of what I need for the nights dinner. I am not a plan ahead kind of guy, what I feel like eating that day, I shop for. So no cupons and no research. I know publix has the best bread and bakery products, Whole Foods has the best fish and seafood, olive oil, produce of all kinds....and Kroger does in a pinch for a good pork loin or steak. Then I set out....and look at the food, not the price.
I do look at the price eventually, when they ring me up and the counter and I wonder..."how'd I spend all that"?
But can't change old habits....and dinner usually is terrific, cause I cook that too.....

We have an Excel spread sheet on the fridge with the items we purchase most often listed and a “quantity” column. Each time we use up something a quantity is filled in for it. Blank lines are for adding qty and items not purchased every week.
Usually go thru the store in the same pattern unless we know there is nothing on our list in a particular isle.
Coupons are used for items we normally purchase anyway.

I'm the WORST at remembering to bring coupons much less look at the store ads when I enter the store! However, I do have a rythum per say. I go to Aldi's (a discount store GREAT for canned items and dry goods) for my inventory of dinner and backup then I go to Wal-Mart for my meats, sales, etc. I walk row to row with my list and sometimes add a little to it while I'm there! You have to! I'm a woman - it's my job!!!!!!!!!

I have a few basic items i need every week. I set myself a $$$ limit. Then i just hunt for specials. Anything more than 20% special I buy lots of. I nearly always buy generic brand if its cheaper.
