Unless you have a carpet made of wool and you are allergic to wool, then all carpets are hypoallergenic. The problem is the dust buildup in the carpet fiber that harbors the dust mite. The only solution is to have a very low pile carpet and vacuum it religiously with a filtered vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, strip it and get a wooden floor, it is easier to keep clean.

think about it a little...you WALK on the carpet so if you sometimes forget something (like keys) you wont take your shoes off to get them, so you step on the carpet (and you carry the dust on you shoes). It s the most often thing to happen...maybe that's why they dont make hypoallergenic carpets.

Unfortunately they do not make hypoallergenic carpets....your best bet is to avoid carpets completely, if thats not possible invest in a good vaccum cleaner or central vaccum.......but they do make special vaccums which eliminate A LOT of allergens and even purify the air while you vaccum
