There are some great medications at wal*mart and other stores that will help with cold sores... look in the pharmacy sections... or ask for some assistance....
Abreva is GREAT... but it cost quite a bit...

Whenever I get a coldsore I use Abreva and also use this mouthwash called Prevention...Make sure it gets on your lip though. It's gentle so it shouldn't hurt like listerine would.....#1 rule though, don't mess with it too much. It could get irritated and look worse.

yeah... abreva and those creams generally work best if you use them immediately after you get a cold sore... or i guess some people can feel one coming on, and you should start using it right away. it'll still help, but not quite as much.

I have used Carmex for years and am always pleased with the effects it has on cold sores and chapped lips.
Covering it with make-up: use a hypo-allergenic cosmetic that won't irritate the sore. Use clean hands when applying the make-up and wash your hands after you have touched the infected area.

Black tea arranged with black pepper powder, dry ginger powder and basil(tulsi) leaves. This tea could be taken 3 to 4 cases an afternoon to get alleviation from runny nostril, head-soreness, and sore-throat. it relatively is as stable as aspirin or paracetamol pills. Camphor is used as a smelling salt in bouts of chilly. positioned some drops on a hanky and sniff to sparkling stuffy nostril

The less you mess with it, the sooner it will go away. the only thing you can do to shorten its life is to not let the blisters break, b/c that would not only make it worse, it will spread the virus to other parts of your mouth causing more lesions on different parts of your lips in the future.
