i think because fans are jealous of what jeff accomplished hes 1 win away from tying dale sr in wins which took gordon 15 seasons to dales 29 plus when gordon came on the race seen dale sr never had a chance to get an 8th title because jeff dominated the series.

After looking at a lot of the "educationally challenged" answers, it boils down to jealousy. Pure and simple jealousy. People can't attack his driving skills, 4 championships. They can't attack his speaking abilities on camera. All they have left is to make up stuff and attack his character. Pretty bad.

When he entered the sport he just didn't fit the " good ol' boy" sterotype . I am not a Gordon fan , however, I do respect what the guy can do with a race car as should any other loyal Nascar fan .

Everyone thinks that because his car in multi colored just like the gay pride parade flag and it happens to be multi colored and even the same colors and people jsut say that because he is so good and has the best record of any active driver currenly in Nextel Cup. Go Jeff Gordon #24!!!!

As an old school NASCAR Fan Look at Gordon back when I first got into it in the '80s Drivers didn't enunciate they didn't have manicured nails they weren't pretty boys They were all Good OL Boys Like the Generation before them and before them thats how it was anyone like that in my book as homosexual tendencies

Probably because of the paint scheme that he had before. People don't undertstand that Rick Hendrick had that paint scheme long before there was Jeff Gordon.
