Isn't harming their lungs? How can this be healthy? Why not jog through a park or on side streets where the air is less polluted?

There are tons of parks (with safe areas, lots of families around, clean and open pathways) in my area yet I just drove past a number of joggers who were jogging next to buses, garbage trucks, old cars with smoking tail pipes. I was in my car and shut off my vents because the air stunk of fumes.

well some people don't have that option, maybe there isn't a park nearby. or if you live in the city or even the suburbs i don't think the neighbor's would appreciate anyone running or jogging through theirs yards. to be honest this really is a stupid question! no matter where you go there is pollution!

Although I'm sure they all have perfectly good excuses, I'm sticking with the thoery that they are personally trying to offend me. It is really irritating. Sometimes slows traffic. Raises my blood pressure.
