Claritin works great for some people; Allegra or Allegra-D works great for others. It depends on how your body responds to the specific medicine. Just try one out and see how it works for you. Your Dr. will give you samples if you want to try something that's not available over-the-counter. You may want him/her to actually prescribe you something stronger than the OTC stuff in order for it to actually WORK BETTER and then you only have the monthly co-pay, which actually ends up being CHEAPER than buying boxes and boxes of stuff off the shelf every month.
good luck....I know how miserable allergies can be!

There are lots of good allergy pills out there. Claratin is a good non-drowsy one as is Aerius. If your symptoms get severe however, nothing beats Benadryl. It can make you drowsy but if you have a bad allergic episode, it works wonders. It's also great for itches and swollen eyes from allergies. You might also consider checking with a doctor about a good prescription nasal spray such as Nasonex or Flonase. They help with the runny nose.

It would help if you go to your doctor. There is a blood test, the RAST test, that will indicate what you are allergic to. This will help you greatly.
Non-sedating over the counter Clareting is what I prefer. I have tried every allergy medication, both prescription and over the counter, and really love generic clareting THE BEST. Target has their own generic version that gives you 120 pills for $17. Since you just take one a day, 120 pills is 4 months worth! cheap!
I hope you get some relief soon! Oh I almost forgot, for the drippy nose i take one sudafed (not 2) every morning. It helps without getting you all stressed out and hyper like when you take 2 pills.

Everyone's body react differently to different medications. If I use an allergy medication for more than a couple of weeks my body builds up immunity to the medication, and I have to change. If allergy season hasn't ended by the time I have go through all of the OTC drugs I end up going to the doctor.

as long by using fact the energetic element is diphenhydramine (benedryl) it will be positive. that's what's maximum ordinarily given for hypersensitive reactions with the help of vets. The dosage is 25mg/25lbs. So on your puppy between 3-4 pills. it is ok to bypass over somewhat, it may in basic terms make him extra sleep lol! solid success, desire your puppy feels extra advantageous! Oh and for the checklist, i'm seeing countless human beings asserting that animals won't be in a position to take human drugs. approximately ninety% of the medicine prescribed with the help of a vet to a cat or dogs is or become used as human medicine. issues consisting of Sildenofil (Viagra), Phenobarbital, Furosemide (Lasix), Doxycycline, Clavamox, Baytril, Cephalexin, Clindamycin, Amoxicillin, nutrition ok, nutrition B, Ciprofloxacin (Cipro), and countless many many extra. it is in basic terms understanding what the dosage is and the thank you to apply it. ;)

Ask about Flonase, or if that doesn't work, try Beconase Aqueous.
Flonase didn't help me much, but Beconase was my wonder drug for a few years. It was mind boggling how well it worked for my allergies.
