Register with YHA and you should be okay. They'll have a list of places you can kip down in.

I've just been away with 18 friends this weekend to a YHA called Taitlands, near Stainforth (just outside Settle), which was a great weekend. We partied in the evening and enjoyed the countryside during the day (and the pubs of Settle of course). They were really cool and allowed us to hire out the whole venue. Getting up early on the Sunday was a bit of a nightmare though!

I know that the Youth hostels in general in the North are pretty quiet affairs. The best hope that you could get is maybe the one in Manchester with the YHA but its best to check first. If your budget can stretch get cheap Ryanair or other budget flights to Dublin where you can use the University campus in the summer holidays with 24 hr access ..no probs with partygoers or the international Youth hostel that has 24 hr access. Both of these are used to stag weekends or pubcrawlers...You may find that your travel to the North is dearer than cheap flights..so go for it...I speak from experience and I come from Lancashire.
