I am a Cataloochee season pass holder, NC resorts in the High Country usually close around the 3rd week in March, Cataloochee has vowed to stay open till April 1st.
Ski resorts dont close due to lack of snow, they close due to low skier traffic. When the number of skiers is lower than the temp, resorts close.
Sugar opens in the summer for Downhill MTB riding, so does SnowShoe.

normally they can stay open through march, but maybe easter this year since it is at the first of april, but all depends on the weather?

i live in NC... i think they are open ABOUT all year.
you would have to check the ski resorts website you want to go to.
