I have a male and female lab and was wondering if there is a limit to how many times they can be breed together with AKC paperwork. They are both register in AKC already.

Unless your labs have been OFA certified for hip and elbow dysplasia, CERF'd for eye diseases, had an Optigen test to check for PRA, if you aren't involved in a breed club and doing anything with your 2 dogs like showing, obedience, hunting, rally, agility, etc. You SHOULDN'T breed your dogs PERIOD.

Labs are the most registered dog in the USA per the AKC and not all of them are bred with a true sense of what is right for the breed.

Don't be a back yard breeder....

I am really not sure what you are asking but if you are talking about this single breeding session. You can breed them one day , wait a day then breed them again. It only takes one or two sessions for your dog to become pregnant. But if you want to be sure then space them apart. There is no limit on the single session but there is no sense in doing that. Unless you don't want to be bother keeping them separated. But in my opinion you shouldn't let them breed as often as they want to.

Just make sure your female is two years old and your male is at least a year old. If you are planning on useing this male as a Stud then you need to get h im DNA testing. You will find that information on the AKC website.

If you mean can you repeat a breeding you have done previously in another litter? Of course, you can use the same sire and dam, on every litter your dam has, or you can choose another sire. When dogs produce well with a given sire you might want to repeat that breeding, there is nothing in the AKC rules to prevent doing that.
