My doctor prescribed Tramadol for my lower back pain, but I had some sort of reaction to it which caused me to itch all over. Is there anything else anyone can suggest I talk to her about. (I've taken all sorts of over-the-counter stuff and they don't touch it)

Ask that your doctor refer you to a pain management specialist. I can't recommend anything personally, since NSAIDs obviously won't work for you, and you're being recommended some pretty heavy duty stuff already.

Narcotics may be your best option but you need to be careful, especially if you have an 'addictive' personality.

There are lots of different meds, you seem to have an allergy to the Tramadol. While I do not know if these meds are similar to Tramadol,I can't say that you should take it. Some of the meds I have had prescribed for my chronic pain are Vicodin,Hydrocodone,Celebrex,Vioxx,Neurotin, these are just a few. I currently take Methadone,it has helped me greatly,I can walk now,and get some sleep. Lots of rules to follow, but worth it. It is very cheap also, real cheap. Good luck, I hope you do not have to live with chronic pain,it is a long journey, and there aren't any cures, just remedies.

Actually there is no medicine to treat back pain. You will have to take pain killers life long. But doctors never tell so.
We treat it without medicine within 10 mins also! But i feel sorry, i can't explain; you will have to come to us.
