When sending a Word 2007 document, is it incompatible to older versions of Word? I just sent an attachment from word 2007 and it wouldn't allow me to open it with older versions of word nor the current version as well.

Yep, but it can be fixed. In older version, the PC that is trying to open the new .docx file will need a compatability pack from Micro$oft. You also can "save as" a word 97-2003 file and that eliminates it all together.

I think in the Save option box, at the bottom of the box that comes up you can save it as a Word 2000-2003 file or something. Alternatively Save as PDF is a lot easier to access from other versions (but uneditable)

Depending how you save it, it can be compatible with previous versions. When you go to Save As it should have a compatibility option or something like that.
