I have been burning my own dvds but was wondering about just hopefully getting something that would let me watch the videos on my tv without having to burn them. I was wondering if someone could help me with quality and price. I don't have a lot of money, but would like to be able to watch a movie with out to much loss in quality.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are devices which convert your computers VGA signal to composite TV. Many new TV's accept composite video, or even S-video.

I tried this route, but my computer is 25' away from my TV, and I was getting AC hum on the video from them being plugged into different outlets.

I ended up using a 1.0GHz laptop that I picked up for $50, that had an S-video port that I plugged into the TV, and networked it to my main PC with a 100 MHz link.

I use it to watch stuff all the time now.
