I think the upper back is not a good place for a meaningless tattoo, maybe the lower leg or somewhere else.

Your body your choice...but I personally think the plain outline is a little blah. I would jazz it up some way...maybe some sort of image on the inside that is not related to the outside. For example I seen one that was the shape of a butterfly...but when you looked the inside image was a tiger.
I think an outline of a star with the inside image a sunflower...that would be cool!

I suggest find something that you will like, cut or print the picture out and keep looking at it every day for about a month, if you still like it after a month you will more then likely love it for the rest of your life.
Don't get a tattoo just to get a tattoo.

that sounds like a horrible tattoo to get. I see about 10-15 people a day who have tattoo of stars. That is a fad w/ tats you will regret it. 3 of my friends are tattoos artists and they will refuse a customer a tatt of a star.

I have a tattoo on my upper back..I really like it..I don't know what you do for a living but I made sure mine was under my neckline so it can be seen when I want it seen and not when I don't....Don't get me wrong....I love my tattoo but the one on my wrist tough me a valuable lesson....I put a picture of my back tat on my 360.....ss

if that's what you want to get then get it. but if you're not sure (you don't sound sure) then don't get it. tattoos that you aren't certain about are the ones that end up being regrettable in a few years. get something that you love and will be happy with forever.

tattoos can be addictive. i was going get one but now i have 14 but i am the coolest freak in my small town.

if you have to ask others what they think about it, then no. just keep in mind that you'll have it forever, so in ten years from now if you don't like it it's not that easy to get rid of it.
