If you cheat as well, then you are no better than they are. Do you really want to stoop to their level or do you want to be the more mature person. Get rid of the person who cheated on you and move on with your life.

Yes. Because the act of cheating itself is wrong. Besides, at this point, the person who's cheated on you already has no regard for your relationship so you wont be hurting them much by cheating. What you SHOULD do is tell the truth, break it off and then be with whoever you want to be with.
And yes, as someone already mentioned, living a good life is the BEST "revenge".

is it alright to rape someone because you were raped ? since when does doing the wrong thing twice add up to the right thing? You know the answer to your own question. Revenge is never a good thing (never ever ever !) believe me what goes around comes back around. Revenge is not yours. But you should get out a cheating relationship, if you really loved each other you would not want to see the other hurt in any way.

It's wrong to cheat period. Which is why things probably wont work out between you two....if you don't cheat, you will always be angry and suspicious of him cheating...if you do cheat, you will feel a brief sense of content because you got revenge but in the future if you stay with him, you will still have a hard time trusting him.

Yes, revenge is wrong. The truth is that even if you cheat, you will never hurt them the same way they hurt you. No two people hurt in exactly the same way. All that would happen is you would have more problems to solve, more pain to work through. If your instinct is to hurt someone just because they hurt you, it sounds like you shouldn't be in a relationship with them. You need to decide to be the better person and not give in to temptation. If you want to hurt them, just leave. It's never good to cause someone else pain, for any reason. Christians believe that revenge belongs to God, others call it Karma. Whoever did this to you will answer for it eventually; don't be the one who tries to force it to happen.
Good luck to you both.

It is wrong, What he did was wrong and you shouldn't lower yourself by doing the same thing. Take the higher road and don't cheat. Sounds like it's time for a nice talk with your bf. Clarify the dating rules, give permission to date others, break up, etc. Communicate now before/if it gets serious so you have a history of being open and honest with each other. Tell him how it made you feel etc., but don't go in angry and slinging accusations. That will put him on the defensive and you wont resolve anything. Always use the "I think", "I feel" approach. He can never deny you your feelings and thoughts. He may not agree with them, but they are real.

It's wrong. You would cheat just to get revenge? Put a little more value on yourself. Forget the revenge part. Just dump the person.

You can only cheat on someone that you are in a committed relationship with. If they cheated on you... and you're thinking of things like revenge... what are you still doing in that committed relationship?
Move on. The best revenge is living well.

If you cheat for revenge you're no better than him. It's as simple as that. It won't matter that he cheated first or how much it hurt you, because you'll be just as wrong as him, and chances are on top of the hurt you have for him cheating, you'll probably feel awful about what you did as well.

Its wrong to cheat no matter what. You shouldn't have to put yourself through that just for revenge. The best revenge would be to dump them.

Yeah, its the wrong thing to do. I'm not gonna come down hard on anyone that does it as revenge, cause I've done it for revenge before. I still felt bad about it though.
