NO way do I! I am not worthy of the love of Jesus Christ, yet He has given it to me freely. What a mighty and awesome God we have! To Christians, God however counts us worthy in His kingdom- Can you believe that? Makes me want to praise and honor Him more, and cast my crown at His feet--He is my reward!
This is what God says to us who believe:
2 Thessalonians 1:5
All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.

Humbling...

13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:13-18

I grew up in the land of "domine, non sum dignes," and developed a great many ideas about worthiness as a result. For years, I was incapable of accepting love or positive change because I had it drummed into my head at an early age that I was not worthy.

This led to depression, alcoholism and suicide attempts.

So, I have come to the conclusion, after years of treatment, that it doesn't matter whether I'm worthy or not. I'm going to accept all the love that is given me, because it pleases the giver to give and all the positive change, because it makes me a more pleasant person to be around.

I think the "unworthiness" doctrine is the most poisonous piece of dogma going.

ANYBODY is worthy of the 'love' of a spiritual whore who 'loves' everybody. That's why God/Jesus' so-called 'love' is worthless, unnecessary, and unwanted. It's much better to be loved by someone who doesn't just spread it wide open in a free-for-all to every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

Not worthy of God's love is an incomprehensible concept to me. We are all worthy.

Yes I am worthy indeed.

This is what Go says to kids who make fun of people:

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

Yes, I am worthy of everything I work to earn.

Your Yshua bar-Ysef fellow though isn't about working, he brought laziness and abdication of personal responsibility.

I'm better than that.

That's a shame you don't feel worthy of your God's love.
