If a guy tells you he loves you and youre the only one, how come he has to go and cheat on you? what gives a guy the urge to have to do that to someone they supposedly love?

i think they do it cause sometimes they can be assholes but sometimes cause maybe they aint happy in a relationship with that person their with now but they feel comfort in another person but not to hurt the other girls feelings, he goes out with another girl. sometimes its not that they don't wanna hurt her feelings, but some guys feel pressured to be in a relationship, like if they dont stay with the person and go for the person that they love, that maybe the girl he wants to break up with might hurt herself or maybe because the girlfriend is a control freak and has to keep him with her and only her. like if he even talks to a girl she gets jealous and suspects cheating, and if you break up with her for someone else she might think if she cant have you no other girl will. But other times they do it so they can be playing assholes and tell their friends that they got more than one gf but thats a dumbass move cause the more they brag about it, the easier the girl will find out.

The reason that most guys cheat is because most of them don't want to feel held down by one woman. So they go out and they get with another woman or even a few more to have a different person to go to. They tell you that you're the only one because in a guy's mind they want their woman to feel "loved" and "special" and plus they don't want you to catch on to what they are trying to do. But not all guys are like that. So go out and you'll eventually find someone that's perfect for you.

Wish I could give you a real answer to this but honestly its a mystery we shall never solve.. Not all guys are cheaters just like not all girls are cheaters. It goes both ways ...like it or not.
There are so many reasons why a guy may stray but the key is that once you are cheated on ...don't stay! get out while the gettings good and find yourself a real man. If he doesnt respect you and your relationship enough to be faithful then he doesnt deserve you.

Aww? Cheated on much?... Sorry. NO NOT ALL GUYS CHEAT!!! But the ones that do just suck. Personally, I'm not into the whole "exclusive" relationship thing until later but I think that's another speech for some other time... Its a mutual thing i guess.

I have several theories, 1. they have never seen a relationship that the man did not cheat ( all negative relationship examples), 2. mother or father had a lot of boyfriends or girlfriends in and out of their lives.3. afraid that they are missing out 4. insecure and think having alot of people make them more desirable or popular

Depends on the guy really. My eX bf cheated on me for one year and I was a dummy for believing him! He told me to my face and looked me in the eye that there was no one else and that he loved only me! Can you believe that? When I finally found concrete evidence that he was cheating..he finally admitted it! He said he cheated on me because he could not bear to break up with me because I was so "nice" and that he didn't know how. To be honest, he cheated because he wanted both girls! He was a player. I was so heartbroken and he was my first bf that I was "in love" with! After I broke it off with him he stayed with the girl that he cheated on me with. He got his when she ended up cheating on him! He found her in bed with another guy! So, what comes around..goes around! They say they love you, but they don't mean it...their actions speak otherwise. Pay attention to a man's actions and not just his words.

I would say temptation. Or he might have it in his head that if he can get with you then he has a shot with some other person. Saying he loves you is how he keeps you attached to him. He doesn't mean it though. Its his way giving you that feeling that your the only one for him. Of course he is lying. After that, it ain't love at all.

Daaaaang! I see this question all the time! The reason why a lot of poeple cheat is because they are selfish and have absolutely no respect for their partner/spouse. Once a cheater always a cheater...DUMP HIM!

i've been told men are incredibly visual..and so...they're constantly searching for the next pretty face...to put it mildly...but to be quite honest women are no better..it's just that men are less intelligent and have a harder time hiding it....
