Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, they can provide you with transcripts of your return and W2 information and have it mailed to you in 7 to 10 days, or by fax if you have access to a fax machine. If you need an actual photo copy of the return you would need to complete form 4506 and send that along with a check for 39.00 to the service center where you filed, it will take 60 days to process your request

You can get your IRS issued tax transcripts from Accuverify in 1-2 business days. 1040s, W2s, 1099 etc. You can have your tax transcripts emailed or faxed to you.

If you had someone prepare it for you they will have a copy otherwise you can call the IRS 1(800)829-1040 and request a copy of last years return.

I would suggest getting a transcript instead of a copy because the IRS will charge you for the copy and the transcript is free.

You can get a copy of your tax transcript from the IRS. Or if you e-filed the return yourself or through a company like H&R Block, they will be able to provide you a copy.

This might sound like it's too easy of an answer, but I just fulfilled that request today. A former employee didn't get his W-2 so he asked for another one. I contacted the people that produced them for us and they send out a duplicate the same day.

Don't pay to have your taxes done by the way. I did my own after H&R block wanted to charge $505. I went to irs.gov and chose an online program. It cost 30.00 to e-file and I got double my return that H&R was going to give me and I got it the next week.

I assume you mean your 2006 info - contact each group (e.g., mortgage holder, employer, investment companies, etc...) and get duplicate forms. It will take a lot of work on your part.

Be patient with people because you are the one that messed up, not them.
