my friend met this guy at the store one day. they exchanged numbers and he called to ask her out. she accepted, but later told her mom she didn't think she wanted to go through with it, that she didn't want to get into a relationship. her mom told her to just go ahead and go on one date, that it wasn't like she was going to marry the guy! two weeks later she called home. she had eloped with store boy, and they've been married 12 years! like everyone else on here is saying, when you know, you know. i just think their story is one of the cutest i've ever heard. :-)

I knew within 2 weeks, we've now been together 8 months, but will not be living together until October this year and married in another year or two. A friend of ours starting dating someone late December/early January - they are now married.
My parents dated 3 months before becoming engaged, together only 5 months total before getting married - they have now been married 33 years.

Within a month, I knew that I wanted to marry him, but I did not tell him anything. Later I found out that he knew around the same time. We dated for a year and we got married in January 2007.

I knew after about 3 months that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Apparently, he felt the same way because he proposed right about that time... We were married 6 months after we met. It's been 3 years now and it still feels like we are on our honeymoon. I agree with the others, you KNOW when it's right!
My parents also got married after knowing each other for 6 months. They're celebrating 40 years this year!

My husband and I got engaged after 8 months. Planned our wedding in 4 months and have been married now 3 months as of yesterday. We are very happy. We both have been through a lot and we both knew what we wanted. He dated someone for 15 yrs and never married. When he met me, that was it. He just knew...and so did I.

We dated for 4 months when he proposed. We were married 4 months later. So 8 months of dating. We met 8 months before we started dating.

my man and I met 6-1-06. got engaged on 9-21-06 and then married 1-21-07. We both knew the first date, but did not say it to each other until around the sixth date. We still have not been together a year...and it has been the most amazing time in our lives. second time around for both of us. We knew exactly what we were looking for, and when we found it, we never let it go!! We are so happy..
If you have even one doubt, they are NOT the one...believe me.

It's refreshing to hear all of these success stories. Unfortuntaly, I have many friends who dating for a short time and are now divorced in their 20s. Really sad.
My fiance and I have taken the slow path...8 years.... I wouldn't change a thing though... We are as much in love today as we were 8 years ago and are now older and mature enough to handle marriage. We were very young when we met, and I am so glad we didn't rush into things.

We were engaged after 9 months, that was September. We wanted to get married in December, but we couldn't pick a time around the holidays & his mother's madatory business trip. So we picked March. I would have married in a month into dating though. It was weird, I didn't think those feelings could be true & happen so fast.

Me! My husband and I married within five months of first meeting and are going on four years of marriage. I know it sounds corny but I knew right away. We met online and talked on the phone for two weeks before meeting, engaged within a month. It was fast, reckless, romantic, and I'd do it again :).

My parents met on Christmas Day and were married the next June. They have been married for 32 years now.
I love their story, but I was just too chicken to follow in their footsteps. My boyfriend and I have been dating on and off for 5 years, but we have been going strong for a long time now and just recently got engaged.
