I'm 18 and I have a 3.0+ GPA and I'm a male. I'm looking to get a new 2007 Honda Accord two door manual transmission. I live in California in the L.A. area. Does anyone know the price range of my insurance?

The best way to find out insurance cost is to call an insurance company. let them know your age and the type of car you are looking at and they will give you the most accurate estimate. Your insurance is usually much cheaper if you can get under your parents policy.

If I were you, I'd stay under your parents' policy if that is an option. Many times, premiums are based off of credit scores and chances are, your parents have established more credit than you have at this point. You do have your age and type of car working against you.The usage and annual miles will also be taken into consideration. Basically, the number of miles to work or school. Hopefully you have a clear driving record for the last 3 years. Also, at many insurance companies, you are eligible for what is called the 'Good Student Discount' which is available to you as long as you are in school, up to age 25 as long as you maintain a 3.0. Your best bet is to see how much it would be to be listed on your parents' policy (as long as you are still living at home) and then to call around to get quoted on your own policy.
