Yes I think that a rebound will usually help you get over someone, at least alittle bit but It's not necessarily the right choice to make. At the time while you are hurting from a break up, a rebound may take your mind off the old relationship and make you realize that you can still get another partner whether its a relationship or just for sexual means. Because of this, rebounds help ease the breakup pain for sure. The problem is that after all is said and done, you may regret it and it doesn't seem like the most respectable thing to do. Choice is yours but yeah, it will help.

Well, yes and no.
A rebound hook-up can do wonders for your self esteem, and the pleasure you'll get out of it will undoubtedly help take your ex off of your mind. However, it's not all good. If you rush too quickly to get into another relationship, rebound or any other kind, you may end up worse off when that one ends.
A rebound can be cathartic, as long as both parties involved know that it's just that, a rebound. You should also be wary of people who look for individuals who are on the rebound in order to exploit the vulnerable state of mind that a rebounder is apt to be in.

Depends on the rebound. If the rebound is better than your ex and has the qualities you wish your ex had, then why not!? It does not mean that you have to sleep with the person, but they can make you feel good about yourself and get you back on your feet.... it keeps your mind off the ex and trying to call him/her or see them or talk to them and shows you just what else is out there. Can be an eye-opener, I am thankful for my rebound, completely changed my life around and made my heartache so much easier to deal with ;)

It can be useful but not always. My cousin was on the rebound and ended up married to the woman that he was seeing. They stay married for about 7 years. He did everything that he could so they could get divorced. She was a fat pig and a b.... They finally got divorced and he is finally married to someone better.

No, you should give yourself time to really get over someone. If you just jump right into a new relationship, you're probably just trying to find a quick replacement, which is not going to happen.

Yes, but not recommended that you use someone just to get over someone else.
