A substance called Vitamin D3, known as a rat poison? We as consumers are told that it aids in calcium absorption. Overdoses in infants and children may be one of the leading causes in ADD/ADHD! There are more ADD/ADHD children today than in our history, wether it be either more recognized, better diagnosed or because of manufacturers who care more about money than health! Even the organic, soy and hypo-allergenic baby formulas have this listed in their ingredients! I don't want to give something to my children that may harm them for life! For more info on this and other additives and health conditions attributed to our childrens' most favorite beverage visit http://www.notmilk.com.

What can we do about this, does anyone know?

flu vaccinations also contain 250 times the amount of mercury that the government considers to be 'hazardous waste'.. and vaccinations are government backed-- I don't get the whole mentality of "oh the government would never let or do anything to harm us".. it's really too bad more people dont research things themselves and become educated- instead of just doing it because 'the government says so'... thanks for posting this information =)

You need to read up a little more. I just did a little bit of research on this rat poison thing you mentioned. It is used as a rat poison in TOXIC amounts! If you were to overdose your children, then, yeah, there will be problems. Vitamin D3 is good for your bones (helps with absorbtion of calcium) and has now been linked to healthier skin (reducing skin cancer). I think you might want to look to the chemicals you put on your lawn or the bad air in your city for causes of ADD/ADHD etc before you blame milk!! Oh yah, do you use bleach or any other harsh cleaner in your house?? Do you use non-stick pots and pans? What are your motives here??? Cause a widespread panic of people that are too naive to find out information on their own from reputable sources (eg doctors, medical journals etc) instead of believing every person who spouts an opinion on this site!!

What?!

You need to stop believing everything you read. Do you think it's a government conspiracy since the FDA is allowing rat poison in our food supply?!

Check out both sides of a story, although this one doesn't even appear to have two sides unless you are missing common sense...before you post trash.

What is the difference between vitamin D2 and D3?

D-2 (ergocalciferol) is derived from yeast, while D-3 (cholecalciferol) is derived from lanolin (from sheep) or fish. D-2 and D-3 are both used to fortify milk and other dairy products. Some D-3 vitamin supplements are made with fish oil. D-3 can also be produced by plants and fungi, but this isn't as common as using lanolin or fish as a source.

If that was true then no vegan children would get ADD/ADHD and there is no scientific proof of that. Sounds like bs to me.

I have bever heard of that, but I plan to look into it.
It really sucks that we can't feed our children good healthy food these days. Everything on the store shelves is filled with hormones and other garbage

Hmmm.
Well, it's a rat poison at tremendous doses, but water will kill you if you drink too much of it, too.

It's a necessary nutrient.

And you're an idiot.

regular milk also contains minute traces of blood and pus from the animal it comes from. FDA approved.

Kudos! to you! Thank you for informing me. That's rediculous and kind of surprising...kinda... I think women should be prepared to be mommies. Don't get pregnant if you're not willing to breastfeed, that's what your body is made to do! Moms who want to work all the time I think shouldn't be moms because they miss out on their children's life and are not able to give them the best start possible. Moms are suppose to be moms! not a work-aholic. It's just my silly opinion! Please, I don't want to offend anyone (kinda hard with the harsh words i've used...) but breastfeeding needs to be taken more seriously. formula fed babies don't get what they need and I see that as irresponsible parenting... Good topic !
