Don't panic, it sounds like you've done the right thing with the drink and the toilet. Just remember that there might be a few accidents before he goes the whole night being completely dry but don't make too much of a deal about it otherwise he won't want to go to bed without anything on. Its like everything else with kids, you need to give them time to adjust. If he does go the whole night then you need to give him plenty of praise in the morning as this will encourage him all the more, maybe do a chart where he gets a sticker for every night that he's dry and then there is a reward at the end of the week. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!

What you are doing is already a good step to dry nights. If you are still worried you can try to take him to the toilet before you go to bed (as my mother often did with me). Put a plastic bed liner under the bed sheets to prevent a wet mattress if he does go at night. And if he does just reassure him and take him to the toilet. Its all a learning process that they will eventually go though. I've also found that the more I seemed stressed about it it seems to get to my kids more too. Although this may not be the case for everyone. Good luck with him.

you just need to leave him to it, if he wets the bed then you just have to keep trying. He he carries on wetting the bed then he's not ready and he should go back to wearing night pants until he is ready. If you push him into it too much he may go the opposite way as he will feel pressured. If he makes it through the night without wetting the bed praise him lots and make him feel great. Boys usually find it harder than girls to keeping dry, so don't worry if it doesn't happen straight away. Good luck!

Hi there, iw ouldnt advise lifting him, as i did this with my little girl the first few weeks, and some nights she was dry others not.
If he is ready he will be fine, but you will still have to expect the odd accident. My youngest has now been dry for 3 months and we rarly get accidents at night. My eldest was a few months older when out of night nappies, but with her we NEVER had any accidents.
When or if he wets just reassure him and take him to the toilet, its not really a big deal, and by doing this, he will realise that to.
Good luck and i hope he is dry in the morning...

Kids have accidents even when they are older. So I'd put down a waterproof mat on the bed and let him know that it's okay to get up in the middle of the night to go potty. Oh yeah put a night light in his room and in bathroom.

There really isnt anything you can do unless you want to wake him up every few hours just to check and see if he needs to go. I let my son sleep and if he has an accident then I just let him know that it is ok and we wash his sheets. He has a lot of good nights but then some times he has an accident so it is all up to you on whether you want to wash the sheets every other day or just let him have a pull up on just at night for a while.

Get him out of bed b4 you turn in. Try not to fully wake him. Sit him on the loo & run the basin tap. hey presto! Dry bed for him - easy night for you. Good Luck

Hope for the best, but don't be too upset if he doesn't make it. Also, make sure when he gets up in the morning, you make him go right away! Good luck! You will get through it! We all do!
