You should receive written instructions
at the time you receive your tattoo.
If you are not sure check with the artist
that did your work. It's your best bet.

Most places will tell you to keep it moisturized to limit the scabbing. I would use the medical grade of A&D ointment but use very little of it. i have 4 tats i have used it on and they turned out great and my 5th tat is healing right now, its scabbed over a bit but i was told to use curel but i prefer to use A&D. Just make sure you dont overdo the moisterizer because that can be just as damaging.

Do not use neosporin or vaseline or any kind of alcohol product, these all will pull the color out of your tattoo.

Most places as long as you follow their aftercare, they will touch up if some ink does come out.

Best thing to do is baby the tattoo and it will heal just fine.

Good Luck

do they ? s'pose i might want to disagree then, I have an eagle, a panther and a tiger, I do fancy a She devil and a reaper next, yet i'm a romantic, for me tattoo's might want to be something I have an affinity too, only a sturdy searching tattoo potential no longer something if there is not any own meaning at the back of it.

i used spectro-jel to clean mine and TATTOO GOO to keep it protected and moisturised. it will scab over no matter what you just dont pick at it or you can risk pulling ink out with the scab.

Make sure it's moisturized. You'll probably get a bit of scabbing anyway, it's very natural! I was recommended Noxzema (wierd I know?!) and it stung a bit but worked well. Otherwise you can get actual tattoo moisturizers or even try a heavy Vaseline Intensive Care for problem areas. It has no fragrance and is really thick.

most people and shops will tell you to use A&D ointment but I dont care for that its too greasy and thick personally I think your tattoo doesnt breath enuff with A&D, I have found using curel lotion the original formula works the best.

my tattoo artist had me use Aquaphor healing ointment - 3x a day for 3 weeks...healed up fine....I would contact your tattoo artist though and ask them....suprised that they didn't give you aftercare directions?

the best thing i've found is H2Ocean tattoo ointment or any kind of burn ointment works wonders too becasue they're made specifically to keep the skin moisturized. you could try A&D ointment, Aquaphor, H2Ocean Tattoo Aftercare,Tattoo Goo, and Vitamin E oil.

just lightly rub lotion on it, DO NOT use vaseline or ointment, it will pull the ink out and lighten your tattoo, keep it as dry as possible and dont pick the scab, let it come of by itself and dont over do the lotion, just a light light coat

A&D ointment without a doubt and do NOT use neosporin as it will fade the tat as will many other products. A&D is the way to go.
