well my second is only 8 days old- so i can't give a whole lot of insight. It def. is harder. With your first during pregnancy you can sleep when you're tired or sick or whatever- and same when you have the baby- when they sleep you can sleep=== if their sleep schedule is messed up- you can sleep during the day with them and stay up at night etc etc-- however once you already have a child it's not so easy. My daughter is 6- so at least on the days i was tired and sick i could go back to bed after she went to school (while i was pregnant). So far things are going smoothly since the new baby is home- but it's also very hard. Trying to help her with homework and getting her lunches ready for school - and just trying to spend some time to do things with her while im trying to sleep while i can when the baby does and feed her all the time etc etc-- i heard after two it gets easier to 'add' them.. hehe.. good luck?

Yeah it is. From 1 to 2 it isn't so hard or wasn't for me because my daughter was 6 when her baby sister was born. However if the older one is in the "chasing after stage" as my 1 year old was when her baby brother was it's been pretty tough.

My boys were born 9-11-00 and 10-14-02. It's actually not hard going from 1 to 2 children. I'm pregnant with a 3rd child now. I would NOT have had another child if it were that hard! Keep your head up, it's not as bad as you may be thinking!!!

It wasnt hard for me. As soon as I got home and had both my babies together it felt like the newborn had always been there.
But I had gotten my 2 yr old involved through out my whole pregnancy and taught her how to care for a newborn. So she had no problems dealing with the baby's arrival. She was very helpful and had speacial tasks to do each day for the baby. And as they grow they have a great bond.

I have 2 children a 4yr old and a 2 yr old, at first it was a little hard but you adjust without even noticing. At times it is easier to chase just one child rather than chasing two.
