I'm having trouble finding any cardio exercise equipment rated for my weight in a reasonable price range. Everything I find rated for 350lbs is like over a thousand dollars. The only thing i've seen close are those retarded looking gazelle things sold by tony little at 4:00 am informercials.

Try a recumbent bike ( got one a few years ago for $300 and it's still working great). You are sitting back comfortably and you can find them everywhere. Go to a local sporting goods/work out equipment store and find a bike you like then take that name and do a search of www.craigslist.com (in your area),you can even post an add as to the item you are looking for as well! Also try ebay and local papers. You can find them. Also try out ellipticals as well. They are out there for the 300+ it just is a little harder. I am a personal trainer so if you need advice please feel free to contact me. I am in the Chicago area. E mail with questions Good luck...you can do it!

Buy a pair of comfortable shoes and start walking. Build up to power walking and then jogging. You can do it without the equipment! You have already made the decision to make a lifestyle change, so get out there and do it!

Congrats to you and GOOD LUCK!

P.S. If you are really stuck on getting a treadmill or other cardio equipment, look at eBay, Craiglist, Classifieds, or garage sales.

The best investment you can make is a good pair of shoes. With those shoes you can do anything - walking, jogging, hiking, take an aerobics class or spinning class. Have you looked into bikes? They may be a little cheaper and easier on your joints than something like a treadmill. A personal trainer may give you more for your money and you can learn a lot from hands on training.

People who plan their weekly meals are usually successful at losing weight than those who don’t. Plan your dishes to feature healthy carbs such as nice potato and wholegrain pasta, green vegetables and lean proteins, buy the many ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted you can eat out or order in.

Suck the idea in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting your desk or making the meal. This will help to strengthen your ab muscles and your core, and create for you one step closer to the flatter stomach.
