My g/f originally withdrew $2500 from the bank but she wants proof that she is giving the money to the car seller just in case something happens. Cashier check, money order, etc. Just looking for the best way to do this.

Cold, hard cash works great. Make sure you obtain the title during this little exchange of yours.......

It doesn't matter as long as you get the title to the car at exchange time. I always ask my buyers to sign a bill of sale which is simply a piece of paper acknowledging the sale of the vehicle (VIN number), date, and signatures. Some people do not have the titles transferred right away; the bill of sale protects the seller. So far as the buyer's side, getting the title and the car are the objective. You can usually pay cold cash for the car and get a better deal. Sellers like the instant pay, but a Cashier's check would be just as good - it is just easier to haggle when you have the greenbacks.

How about the man who sells you the car to give you a receipt? Or you could just write a personal check or get a money order. Definitely get a receipt.

not much of a law student..go to bank for bank check or post office for money order..cash is ok if you get him/her [seller] to sign receipt

I would say if your paying cash before handing the money to them make sure you get a receipt.

any of those ways would work.

why not just ask for a receipt? A Bill of Sale is normal procedure.
