Call Esperian, Equifax and Transunion and inform them that you are at risk for credit card fraud. They will place a notice on your credit requiring you to positively identify yourself with a photo ID before a company can issue you credit, either in the form of a card or a loan. If they cannot prove that they confirmed your identity, as with any type of fraud, you are at no obligation to repay the loan and it cannot affect you, but this lets any creditor know that you feel you might be at risk and to be extra careful in allowing any accounts open in your name without you proving who you are. Also inform your bank and request a note be put in your records that any time someone calls in and claims to be you, that the person asks a security question only you know the answer to.
