Scooby is between 8 and 9 months now and I thought that was it really and he wouldn't get much bigger. However I was outside last night and I saw a gigantic (well compared with scoob anyway) white cat! Plus the other older cats in the estate seem alot bigger than scooby.

When is he gonna stop growing?

At about 1 year old.

The exact age depends on the environment, nutritional status, breed and individual genetics. Plus, keep in mind that all living creatures keep growing to some extent, all our lives. Among mammals, our hair keeps growing; and cat's claws never stop growing. New synapses and brain connections are made all the time, too, in all but the most elderly mammals.

But otherwise, you can consider moggie a cat and no longer a kitten, from about 1 year old. If you're worried that your cat will never stop growing, the biggest and fattest cats on record have been a bit over 40 lbs in weight. The average size cat is about 10 lbs in weight.

Cats can start breeding, though, from about six months old, long before they stop growing themselves.

Depends on the breed. There are 7 cats in this house. They range in size from a 22 lb Maine Coon to a teeny tiny little baby runt, that is almost full grown, (i think.)
My oldest cat is only about 7 lbs and is like 15 years old. The other kitten is not a runt and is about 5 lbs or so but will probably continue to grow a little to maybe 8 lbs. Of the 7 cats, 2 are runts and on the small side...
It really just depends on the cat.
As long as it isn't a Maine coon, or a Ragdoll, it probably won't get to big. Girl cats also tend to be a little smaller than boy cats too
But STILL, they're CATS they don't get too big, really.

Generally around a year old but it can vary depending on a lot of different factors. However, if a female gets pregnant earlier than that she usually won't grow any more. A growth spurt at 18 months is not unknown but neither is it very common. Nothing to worry about though, as long as it is growth and not just excess weight as a result of overeating.

At about 1 year old they stop but that does not mean he will get as big as other cats. Some cats are petite and some are bigger..just like people.

He still has some growing to do, think of him in relation to an adult cat like a 13 year old in relation to an adult human. My cats all stopped growing taller at around a year old, one sadly is still growing wider.

I think they stop at about 3 years old. At least height-wise. My little fatties are still growing width-wise. I've got eight cats, they range from 8kg to 3kg. They're like humans - come in different shapes, sizes and colours.

xx
