so we have been together for 3.5 years now. i think i am finally ready to get engaged. i always thought it was me who was holding things up. i know his has thought of proposing before but thought i would say no.
Last time we talked about marriage he got scared, like he wasnt sure he is ready now.
i thought he was going to do it on Valentimes day but no. I am worried we will never get engaged

Don't do the things ur doing. I've been there done that. It don't work, except my fiancee did propose to me for Christmas, but it was only because I wanted him to, not because he was ready. The worst thing you want to hear is "the only reason why I did it is bc you asked me to and I didn't want u to be mad". Yes, I was hurt when he told me that.
Take it easy, and let things fall into place. If you're a good woman it will def happen.

Don't push it. He may be going through the same thing you went through. He waited for you. Give him the respect of doing the same.
If he doesn't ask you, then he obviously doesn't want to marry or he's not ready.

I agree with not pressuring him. If and when he is ready he'll come through.
Is he the type that likes to surprise you? If so Valentine's Day wouldn't be his choice of times to do it..I know it wouldn't be mine. He's most likely want to do it when you are not expecting it.

Dude don't. If he is not ready, then he is not ready. Don't keep bringing it up or he won't ever do it. Maybe he is nervous. Give it time and he will. Don't push it though.

Take him to a engagement ring store and casually say that ring would be perfect on me, he will see that as a signal to make his move
