Atheists don't "know" they are absolutely right any more than believers "know" they are absolutely right.
Atheists just have faith that no God exists. Not Proof.
So, its just like any other religion.
Futility is only an issue if Evangelism is required. People who try to make the world safe for those like themselves by annoying others who have found a different way are practicing institutionalized hatred.
We should also distinguish between those instututions and the innocent individuals they claim to represent.
