I like plain pizza, so I can only advise you about that.
Get a good jar of sauce. Ragu Pizza Quick is ok, but there are much better brands out there. Experiment with one of those barely-known brands at the supermarket.
Cheese: try Pollo-O or Kraft Shredded Mozzarella. Part skim, if you want to save a few calories. I also highly suggest sprinkling a little grated Pecorino Romano cheese for a nice zing.
Crust: Available at most supermarkets, you can try the pre-made crusts available in the bread section. I would avoid frozen crusts for better taste. Get the fresh ones instead.
Spices/Other: Italian Seasoning, Oregano, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil make a great combo.
Enjoy!

You can put anything that you think would 'taste good' onto your pizza. I don't like 'red sauce' but love 'garlic and butter' as my 'sauce' ... and we also use feta instead of mozarella, and put 'imitation crab' and artichokes and then he'll put anchovies on my half, and some capers ... YUM. Generally, though, use a 'red pizza sauce' (you can buy it in cans or jars) and mozarella and then put the other 'toppings' on according to taste. I used to make really 'tasty' pizza' out of buscuit mix dough with a little red sauce and four to six inches of 'toppings' plus cheese every half inch of topping ... but my husband was a 'pizza chef' at one of those places that uses the 'wood burning ovens' and he says that you should never have more than 'one thin layer' of toppings ... so now I only eat his kind ... because he's a really good cook, and I don't want to do that 'cooking' any more.
