People who get tattoos don't care what people think of them, if you do than I would suggest you don't do it. There's still a lot of ignorant people who still have the image of the old nasty biker dude who shoplifts stuff and has tattoos up and down his arms, but they're opinions should mean less than nothing to you.
Another thing you shouldn't worry about is how you'll look when you're 70. At that point the last thing you will be worrying about is how you look to other people. Even if the tats are disgusting looking, if they were important to you when you were younger, then I would think they would still at least remind you of those times.

If people think of you as crazy and less than normal just because you have a tattoo, then in my opinion they're not worth your friendship. That's a sad thing that someone would tarnish your reputation over a tattoo. Some of the best and smartest people in the world have tattoos, but nobody tarnishes their reputation. Stick with the friends that stand by your side no matter what you do! Those are real friends worthy of your friendship! Good luckâ¥

Unfortunately, although tattoos are getting to be more mainstream and common, there will be folks out there who will think less of you because you have a tattoo. If that bothers you, then either don't get a tattoo or put it someplace that is easily hidden. You also have to think about your career, since more conservative, corporate-type places may have prohibitions on visible tattoos.
I don't think you should let what other people may or may not think about you bother you too much. I don't mean to go to the extreme; however, there will always be people out there who will judge you disapprovingly for something superficial, such as the clothes you wear, your hairstyle, and sadly, the color of your skin, religion, etc.

No Way! Tattoos represent who the person is. Like Memorial tattoos show love and respect to the person that the tattoo is for. Most people who do get tattoos, get them for a special meaning. I just would not get something like " Crazy Mother ****$r On your neck or anything like that. It would not look good if you are a business person.

You need to be comfortable enough with who you are and how you carry yourself and then it won't matter what type of body modifications you have, or where they are. If you want to work in a specialized area and you are really honestly worried about peoples reactions to your ink then may it is not the time, or the right tattoo. I have a bunch of tattoos, and i work in the academic world, i can easily hide what i have chosen to put on my body, but once people get to know me, they start to see my art, and you will learn that just like clothing or music, or dating preference it is just an extension of your personality, and not everyone is always going to like it- but you should.

I don't think it would. In this generation, tattoos and body piercings are starting to be more mainstream, and people are thinking way less about if some one else has a tattoo or not. In jobs though, most are keeping their no visible tattoos or facial piercing thing.

If anyone thinks less of you they are not worth your time! Tattoos are an artform and a way to release your creativity! Just think of your future before you cover your face or neck or arms. If you have to work in a place that would look unkindly at body art, remember to keep it in places that can be covered. Upper arms, legs, back, chest etc. Also keep in mind when you get old and wrinkley you'll have funny looking tats!!

It depends on the place you have tattoos.
If its on your back or stomach: people will think you are a hoe
If its just a small one on your arm or wrist: people won't care
I have no tattoos because i don't really like the way they look but I think people would think less of you. Hey,its your body,go crazy! you only live once!

I would think, wow, she has some nice tats. Some people think you are a criminal, or some awful thing because you have them. I have bumped into people that I have never met before, but because we both have ink, we have something in common already. I have had some very interesting conversations with people I had just met minutes earlier. Don't let the closed minded bother you. When you get tats, you are so not alone.

The only people who think that aren't worth the time of day.
Get your tattoos for yourself and you'll never have regrets. Don't worry about what others think because there are always people who won't like what you do and thats their problem, not yours.
