Haha!!! Quite common... nerve connections (common major nerve path). Also, gotta sneeze and want to stop it? Press hard between your nose and lip... same nerves involved...

It might be the "spiciness" of the toothpaste. Kind of like how some people react to pepper, or mint, or wasabi. Try switching toothpaste.

maybe it's the smell of the toothepaste- ask your dentist.
