You are 13 and your sister is 15. You come home everyday telling your sister everything about school life, home life, social life, and yourself, while she never tell you anything about herself. At times, you tell her to tell you about her school and social life, but she refused. Lately, you feel it is unfair because you always tells her everything while she never tell you nothing. You tell her it is unfair and she said, “I don’t want to tell you ANYTHING about my life. You are YOUNGER and wouldn’t understand. It is very embarrassing to talk to a little sister about an older sister’s life. You don’t understand how I feel. If you were my older sister, it will be different. Also, I am not being unfair. It was your choice to talk to me and I didn’t make you. If you have a problem with it, then don’t talk to me anymore about your life. I never want you to tell me anything anyway, but you always do and it is boring.” You feel bad about her attitude. What is going on? What would you do?

Realize that she's being a completely normal teenager. Then I'd stop telling her stuff.

She has no obligation to tell you anything, so she is right. There is a differnce btwn what goes on in a 13 yo's world and a 15 y/o's world. She may feel you are a bit to immature to know about things in higschool, or that you would just tell your mother. Or maybe, she wants to spare you drama that is her life.

Be thankful she has let you into her "club" now don't try to to sneak in the VIP lounge..

It's the age she's at me and my sister were the same way at that age except I was the older one. She doesn't know who she is yet and eventually it will happen to you. It just a complete feeling of awkwardness and not knowing where you belong or who you are. just give you sister a little space and time she'll come around. Especially when you both get older!!

sounds like she's hit typical 'teen' years. my sister and I are 2 years apart and I am the older sister. we didn't get along during our teen years, but after I went away to college, we became very close and are best friends now in our adult lives. I remember that she would always 'copy' me and want everything I had. Now I see that it was bc she admired me, not bc she was trying to be annoying.
I think you should focus more on your friends and let your sister have some space. She'll come around eventually.

She's 15 and she thinks that whatever is going with her is more important than yours b/c you are younger. It's normal for kids to think that and if you were her age you might do the same thing to your younger sibling. When she is ready to talk to you just be there for her. Just give her time. You are both kids so don't fret.
But if her behavior is weird and it seems she may be in trouble, then be concerned.

Personally when people tell me things I listen. If she dont want you to tell her things then I wouldnt. Simple as that. Plus if she dont want to tell you about her day you shouldnt tell her about yours. Hopefully she will have a change of heart and come around. Good Luck.

You learn from your mistakes in the past and dont do it next time... or you either learn to live with it... When you guys get older you will be more closer.

Stop telling her things. Talk to your best friend instead. Or your mother.

She is having a hard day let her rest. She enjoys listening to you, even if she denies it.
