I've known this guy for a couple yrs in a group of friends and he never showed any signs(that i could see) of interest in me so i thought we were just friends, lately he started wanting to hang out, few days later asked me out for Valentines day and i thought it was just as friends but he got me flowers and candy, it's only been a 1 1/2 weeks and he asked what my feelings are about "us" and said he likes me!! I like him but am still not sure what my feelings are cuz he feels like a friend but i need more time to get to know him personally, so should i start flirting with him and try to start something more or just stay as friends?

I think that you should give it time. Get to know him on another level slowly. Slower is always better. If you feel that your friendship is very strong and that hooking up might mess things up then you shouldnt get into it, BUT if the friendship isnt that serious like a best friend for 10 years lets say then I think this might be something worth trying. They say u should always be friends before becoming lovers so things might turn out well. Just be cear on what type of relationship you want and ask him what he wants outta of it then take it from there....

Hey if you aren’t feeling the love connections yet with him don’t just start flirting and lead him on. Tell him straight up that you need to hang out with him more to see if you feel anything more that friends between the two of you. A real friend and possible love interest will understand that.

a relationship that starts as friends are often the best ones because they already kind of know you and you won't expect too many suprises. I say go for it. It sounds like he wants to know if you think your friendship could be something more. It may seem odd at first but give it a shot first.

Well if you need to get to know him more, just sit down with him and be like hey you know I'd like it if we hung out for a while and got to know eachother before we make any kind of commitment. And then if it still doesnt feel work tell him the truth and how you feel.
Hope that helped!

Nothing better than a romance with a base of real firendship, I'd say go for it and give it a try, see if there's a spark there. If there is then fan the flames!
