Alright, there is this guy that I met through a friend and he lives in Kentucky and I live in Fl. Well we talk on and off through text but nothing serious, and I told him that I would love to see him, and last night he told me he wanted to visit me for spring break, well I don't think its a good idea, because were not serious or anything and it's to soon. Anyways I just need advice on what I should do, if I should let him come down, or if its not a good idea for him to come down, then how would i tell him that.

Well, you did tell him that "you would love to see him." What did you mean by that? If you meant "love to see you somewhere in the vicinity of never" then it is probably not a good idea to have him come down. It will probably be very awkward with you counting down how many days, hours, mins and seconds you have left to spend with him, and he wondering why this girl who seemed so nice suddenly doesn't want anything to do with him. I think that you may want to figure out exactly what and how much you want out of this or a possible relationship before you decide to okay his visiting you. You can either tell him that something has come up, you've made plans, it's not a good time, you don't think you are ready for that yet or it would be kind of hectic. You might want to do this through text and not on the phone to avoid overt confrontation/being pressured into making a decision you don't want to make. At any rate, he shouldn't be pushy, and it's your call. If you don't think you'll be comfortable, if you don't think you want it, then don't do it. buenos suertes ;)

Just because you guys are nothing serious that doesn't mean that he can't come down and visit you as a friend. I say let him come see you.

Why did you tell him you would love to see him, if you weren't ready?

It depends on your comfort level, whether you have him visit you. You need to trust your instincts, and they seem to be telling you to hold off. I am not sure how old you are, but with age, you will know what feelings are nerves, and what feelings are bad intuitions. (I never believed in my intuitions until they started happening, and it is really weird).

So...trust your instincts, and intuitions, and you will be just fine. If you do happen to let him visit you, make him stay at a hotel, or if he stays with you, in a different room or on the couch...play it safe!

If you don't want him to come down and see you then tell him because you think it is too soon, or if you want to see what happens then tell him to come only because you are comfortable with it and it because what you have decided but don't lead him on.

Just tell him what you already said, that after thinking it over you feel that it isn't such a good idea...that it is just too soon, maybe this summer would be better.

tell him you have other plans for spring break - it's too early and nothing serious yet; you don't know him all that well
