It depends on the breed. Most dogs are mature at 1 year old. It can be up to three years for giant breeds.

You received a good answer on the smaller dogs reaching full size earlier than the larger breeds. The only thing I'd add to this is even at age two a dog might not look fully mature although he's reached his full length and height. It has been known to take until age 4-5 before the dog reaches his max girth. I'm not referring to overweight dogs. I'm speaking of what is known as spring of ribs and drop of chest. A female dog developes her maximum chest size after whelping a litter. Show folks sometimes breed a female to cause this effect which may help her finish her championship earlier than she ordinarily would. Maximum muscle mass is normally reached in the year or two following full growth.

That depends on the breed of the dog. Most small breed dogs will reach their full growth by 1 year old, but many larger breeds continue to grow for 2-3 years.

Small breeds reach their full size in one year.
Large breeds reach their full size in two years.
If you have a teacup yorkie it will probably reach its full size before a larger small dog would.

Depending on the breed, 1-2 years. My chihuahua's reached full size at about 1 yr, but my mastiff grew till he was about 2 yrs old. They will reach their tallest around 1-1.5 years, but will continue to fill out till they are two. My mastiff reached his tallest at 1.5 yrs, but kept getting thicker till he was two.

The age differs. There is one way to tell when your dog has stopped growing. Feel the front of his/her forepaws, just above where the 'wrist' would be. A growing pup will have a bump that you can feel. When the pup is fully grown that bump will have smoothed out and that spot will be firm and smooth.
