My Cat has been sick the past few days. He's outside 90% of the time and it's been chilly lately which I think got him sick. He won't use a litter box anymore so I have no choice but to let him out.

I won't be able to take him to the Vet for a couple of weeks. A friend recommended wrapping an Immodium in some lunch meat to get rid of his diarrhea. So I did. But, what can I do about his runny nose and sneezing?

Depending on what is wrong with your cat in two weeks he could be dead or too sick to recover. Cats don't show illness until they're pretty sick to begin with, so if you can tell your cat is sick he's probably quite sick.

If money is an issue call around to local vets and see which ones will let you post date a check, use a credit card or create a payment plan for you.

Don't medicate your cat without veterinary advice. Cats are sensitive to many things dogs and people can tolerate.

It sounds like your cat has an upper respiratory infection. This can be mild, but it sounds like your cat already has some advanced symptoms. If he is outside 90% of the time he's at very high risk of this illness and others that are even worse.

If he is not vaccinated, he's at great risk, being outside in the cold and exposed to other animals.

Do not leave your cat outside in his condition! Use a crate if you have to, but he could infect other cats, and he could (and will) continue to get worse.

There are ways to deal with cats who won't use a litter box. Put extra boxes around the house, clean the box twice a day, and other things can really help. My mother's cat didn't use her box, so I advised her to put out extra boxes and it completely solved the problem.

You really need to get your cat into the vet. If you can't afford to take care of the cat then don't have it. This is not a medical advice site, we can't diagnose over the computer. There could be MANY things wrong with your cat

Also when your cat has diarrhea, it will cause his outer part of his/her butt to be raw and also up his tail from his rectum. Which is very painful! My vet told me to constantly keep baby powder with cornstarch coating its raw areas. It makes it less painful when it uses the bathroom. Also when you wash them off, use warm water which is soothing and then pat dry with some soft paper towels or a big wad of toilet paper, then powder all infected areas!

Call your vet! Call them even if you can't get there immediately. What possible excuse can you use that you cannot take your pet to the Vet for weeks? Would you make your child suffer for weeks if they were sick?

Vet, vet, Vet.
My cat lost an eye( before I had her!!) from a bad upperrespiratory infection.
Diarhea sounds like she may have a blockage or injury... please take your beloved kitty to the vet.

She may also have worms: that can account for the diarheaa, but she needs some inexpensive antibioitics and eye cream.
Please. off to the Vet.

He sounds quite ill. He probably contracted something being outdoors. You really need to take him to the vet no matter what. If you can't vet your animal, then you should not have one.
