I have a best friend who has this ex...I admit I introduced the two of them hoping something would spark and it did. However the relationship ended badly with the guy flipping out of his own issues, claiming she is nothing but a S*** and a booty call and so on however he took her to her favorite restaurant every weekend, bought her all kinds of things that only she's interested in (she likes playboy, skechers shoes, Depeche Mode). First off any type of booty call, wouldn't pay that close attention so I don't buy the whole booty call label but he really hurt her by claiming that is all she was etc etc etc...Now they're back to talking and of course he's trying his hardest to get under her skin and still caring for him, she's letting him. I don't know what else to do anymore. She tells me she's gonna give him a dose of his own medicine but yet he has her in the palm of his hand and is only going to hurt her. HELP !!!!

I totally agree because even I got hurt by the whole booty call label and I didn't even date him. He's a total jerk and has screwed her over many times and I'm just tired of thinking of ways to get her over him. She's talking to other guys and claims they're all potential to date but she keeps going back to her ex and gggrrrrr, I understand the first time but why would you bother the second time especially how he treats her. And then he gets mad at me for being in their business. It's sooooo ggrrrr, I'm so tired and wore out.

tell her to move on - if he felt (or even just claims) that she was a booty call, then he doesnt respect her and she deserves at least that

First off, I believe something is wrong with that whole picture! If she was only a booty call then why the hell is trying so hard to get back with her? Only one out 2 things could be going on...

1.) She has the best booty he's ever had (lol)
2.) He loves her but he's not sure he's ready

just give her time and let her figure some things out on her own! I'm sure she is pretty smart and will do the right thing

Well, sweetie, you are about to learn the age old female lesson in friendship. You cannot make your friend do anything. She is gonna have to bump her head hard enough to not want to bump it again. Some of us have harder heads than others, so it may take a little longer for her. But all women tend to go through it to some extent. If you are a true friend, and it sounds like you are, then just be there for her when she needs a shoulder. Don't leave her with any false impressions though, being a friend doesn't mean you have to agree with how she handles everything, it just means you should support her. She will be grateful for the shoulder when she needs it. And don't offer your advice if it ain't being heeded. The guy will only beat you up for it. Screw him, wait for her!!

This could be a difficult one really, if you are going to play those kind of games you have to really not care about the person you are planning to hurt. But there isn't really much you can do for her apart from be there when and if it all goes wrong, that's the best kind of friend to have. Maybe she is secretly hoping that he'll change his attitude and she can get back on with him. Just show her you care about her and support her through it, but encourage her not to get into a situation she won't be able to handle. Hope this helps a little.

There is only so much influence and advice you can give to a friend of yours. Beyond a certain point, there is nothing you can do to help them and they're on their own to figure out what's best for them. So tell your friend what you think is happening and what you think she should do, but don't expect her to do everything you tell her 100%. At the least, she is going to comforted by the fact that you care enough about her to tell her what you think is best for her. Good job! :)

Ummm...what?

He buys her items that only she is interested in? Whatta jerk.

Being a booty call all depends on the hour he calls; the later the call, the more likely it is. If he is making plans/dinner dates/buying stuff, it sounds more like they're F**k buddies.

Unfortunately you cant keep people from making thier own mistakes especially when it come sto guys. the best thing you can do is be there for her when he screws her over again. Its tough love time. and maybe this time she will learn her lesson.

SHe sounds like she wants to play games with him too. Maybe he said these things out of anger and really didnt' mean them. Just be there for her when things fall apart again.

Sounds like maybe she still has feelings for him. She's an adult and can make her own decisions.
