No, God is not limited by time...because it is of man...Who created time...who decided a minute, a second, a nano second, an hour, a day, a year, the calendar. Is there somewhere that says...God did. If so, a lot of us missed it.

God not being limited by time poses more problems than if he was.

Time determines whether or not we have free will and if we do then god adhears to time as we do, thus he is not omniscient nor omnipotent. If he/she/it exists outside of time then our actions are predetermined, or "god" has seen them from a future perspective, thus, our decisions have already been made. Combine that with the fact that god would know whether or not you believed in it before you were even created, thus abolishing the idea of punishment/praise in the afterlife because what all loving creator would create a being to burn for eternity? Unless your god is not all loving or the embodiment of goodness. These aspects of simple physics (time paradox, etc...) essentially disprove the modern "god" at least in terms of judaism, islam and christianity. Now a god that is not all powerful and not all knowing is feasible, however, the lack of omnipotence would denote a need for a creator (if you believe that something cannot be born from nothing, which i do not, but hear on this forum all the time) because an all powerful being could not create itself, unless it had existed forever, thus decimating the limited universe theories and essentially agreeing the universe potentially could have always existed.

If you take the word sovereign and omnipotent seriously, one would have to conclude that God is in control of everything.

There are no accidents or coincidences; it is all the sovereign will of God.
Do you think God would have put his son on earth and taken a chance on humans doing the "right thing" as it pertains to his will.

God is simply the author and finisher of all that happens in heaven and earth. All that man is capable of doing is rejecting God's will and attempting to throw a wrench in God's works.

God is the ultimate cynic, he knows man will always screw up (sin); therefore, he says, "If I want something done right I have to do it myself;" thus, we have Christ.
There are no contingency plans with God (no plan B), his plan is sovereign. It can not be questioned or altered. He knows the beginning from the end and makes adjustments if he deems it necessary.

Time is not an issue with God; he is the creator of time and is independent of it. He has been known to control time, to work inside and outside time; all are recorded in his word.

Beautiful miracle ... In the beginning...
organizing and sustaining the universe.

4 Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and PATIENT God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? 5 But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God's righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will judge everyone according to what they have done. 7 He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. 8 But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. Romans 2:4-8

... He's not limited but oooohhhh... so patient...

Yes.

This is one of the reasons why Catholics pray for the dead.

We pray that the departed
+ Lived a good Christian life
+ Died a happy death
+ Were right with God at the moment of their death

All things are possible with God.

I always find it interesting when people start saying what the one true all powerful God can and cannot do.

With love in Christ.

Not being religious, however, if there was a God do you not think that God would take offense in the thought that he owned anything? By the word "own" usually signifies greed or a form of greed. People own things in order to ensure nobody else takes them, it comes from greed. I am not sure that your God would have those trivial emotions that are the worst part of humans.

The way this works is this; God created the heavens and the earth. God gave man dominion over everything. God entrusted everything that is his to mankind.

The truth is like beautiful white clouds that beautify the blue skies. Thank God for the beauty of truth.

With love in Jesus Christ.

Time only exists on Earth for Humans. Therefore, you're correct in that God is not limited by Time.

Until we discover a way to travel through time like they do on Star Trek. Then man will own time and think he's God.

Did it ever occur to you that the very definition of 'existence' is temporal and therefore, if you wish to extract your deity from a temporal gradient, you therefore render its existence null?
