ok am due to join the army around april...so i was thinking of finshin my army training then asking her.my army training will be for 12 weeks.but what i was thinking is to turn upto her work stright away the min i get back from my training in my army uniform looking all smart and with flowers and a ring and to ask her to marry me with all this happening at her work infront of her friends!
well am lookin for some gd idea's i dont want to do it before my training tho.
i want it to be a mazzive shock to her

my advice would be to ask her in private but this is a bias b/c that is what i would want b/c i am a private person. if your fiance to be is outgoing and would like all the attention then that might be a good idea for her. but i think a traditional engagement is romantic. eg. asking dad for permission first. a friend of mine was proposed to with those candy heart treats. i recommend being creative eg. like going to a spot that is important for both of you!! good luck!!

Well your basic training will probably be 3 months or longer then maybe they will give you a couple of days leave before you have to go to ait school so you better make sure that before you go that she won't step out on you while your gone, so get her a pre engagement ring before you leave and then surprise her with an engagement ring when you come back and pop the question.

Any chance that you can meet her at work in your uniform and take her to dinner and then pop the question? That way it will be more intimate and she wouldn't be so embarrassed or put on the spot. Some woman like this to be a more intimate moment than others and doing so in front of her friends as nice as that sounds could be not so nice for her.

It sounds very sweet, but may make her uncomfortable if you propose in front of her friends.
Why don't you take her someplace beautiful, like the top of a mountain, a beach, out on a boat, even the top of a building in a big city and propose there. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I love the outdoors, so we hiked to the top of this incredible trail. We had a view of other mountains, a river and the town below. We sat on a ledge, our legs hanging over the side, and there was not a soul around us. Then he said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and pulled out the most amazing ring! I wasn't expecting it at all and I just broke down in tears of joy. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life!

aww that is so sweet. my reccomendation is that you dont just flat-out do it in front of her friends. it might embaress her, and it might stress her out. but i totally agree with the army uniform thing! you could propose to her in your army training place by calling her first and telling her to pick you up because your car broke or whatever. good luck!!

I would not advise doing this at her work. It should be a more private moment in case she wants some time to think.

everything sound cute, but dont do it at work. do it in front of her family or when you two are alone.
